Recycling Bottles & Ocean Bound Plastic
Tree planting has been core to our mission at Enchanted Eco, but our vision has been to help save the planet in any way we can and that's why we are excited to launch Ocean Bound Plastic Removal and Recycling as another impact category.
We have partnered with Plastic Bank to remove ocean bound plastics and support local communities.
Each step in the plastics life cycle - extraction, transport, manufacture and disposal - emits massive amounts of greenhouse gases, mostly CO2.
Through our removal efforts, ocean bound plastics will be turned into plastic feedstock which enables a circular economy and reduces need for virgin plastic material thereby reducing CO2 emissions.
Plastic feedstock is the raw material used to make plastic products.
Stopping plastic from within 30 miles of an ocean bound waterway reduces its likelihood from flowing into the ocean. This in turn helps to protect marine life, microorganisms, and endangered species from plastic pollution.
By using recycled plastics, we reduce CO2 emissions
Removing Ocean Bound plastics support and protect marine ecosystems, microorganisms, and endangered species from plastic pollution.

End poverty in all its forms
Our collection communities earn additional income from exchanging plastic as money, and receive social benefits, including health, work and life insurance, digital connectivity, grocery vouchers, school supplies, fintech services, and more.
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth
We have provided opportunities to 50,992 collection members in vulnerable coastal areas around the world. We adhere to a strict Code of Conduct, promoting a safe and inclusive work environment that upholds labour and human rights.
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
We help stop plastic pollution through the collection and recycling of discarded plastic. The collected plastic is processed into Social Plastic® feedstock which is integrated into new products and packaging, reducing the demand for virgin plastic.
Conserve and sustainable use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development
Stopping plastic from within 50km of an ocean-bound waterway or coastline reduces its likelihood from flowing into the ocean. This in turn helps to protect marine life, microorganisms, and endangered species from plastic pollution.
